April 21st, 7-8:30pm, Queens Museum of Art:

Martin Vejarano presents the unique sounds of the qaita flute from the Atlantic coast; and Diego Obregon offers marimba music of Colombia’s Pacific coast. Free!

May 6th, 7-8:30pm, El Taller Latino Americano:

Ronald Polo explores of the percussion sounds of the Atlantic coast; and Johanna Castaneda presents a music workshop with cuatro from Colombia’s plains. Suggested donation $5.
